12 Hours Without Media

Going twelve hours without media was very hard. It was especially hard with all the classes I have that require social media and technology. The morning was easy because I just went to class and didn't use my phone. After my second class I was feeling the urge to check Snapchat or Group Me so I could meet up with my friends. Then I went back to my dorm and took a nap. After this happened I woke up and put on music and got on my phone. I didn't last very long. The most difficult thing for me personally is not being able to listen to music on my phone. Also I struggled a lot with texting my friends and trying to get ahold of someone to hangout with. The easiest thing was when I just wanted to be alone and I didn't feel obligated to respond to text messages or emails from teachers. It was a good excuse to be lazy.

The patterns were a lot of me about to check my phone or get on my laptop and then I remembered about the assignment. I didn't mind being away from technology and media it just was a habit that I couldn't break in a day. The new possibilities I encountered were to sleep more and to be more alone and think to myself.

Media is a big role in everyone's life. Not just young people. Everyone is consuming media through TV, radio, or internet. I do not think that media is bad. It makes people's lives easier and sometimes more enjoyable. Without media it would be difficult for many people to live their lives that they have been living over the years.
