The Walt Disney Corporation owns a large amount of
companies. Ones that stick out to me are ESPN and ABC. Disney produces many
products with the subsidiaries it has. It has Lucas Film, which is largely know
for the Star Wars fame, ESPN and all of its subcatergories, many radio stations
and lets not forget Disney Land and Disney World. These synergies produce a
very great amount of profit for The Walt Disney Corporation. The produce a lot of
core content persistently. Synergy is a good thing in the medias business
structure. The biggest thing that a journalist can benefit from being apart of
a huge corporation like this is access to many things.
